Cost: £19.50 per person, to include tea/coffee and biscuits.
Bring your own picnic and wander round the garden until 2pm. Alternatively lunch at the Red Lion or Royal George in the village.
PRACTICAL
Choice of plants for containers including bulbs, bedding, perennials, shrubs, herbs and edible flowers, succulents, grasses; particularly with regard sun/shade.
Choice of containers including various styles of hanging baskets, different urns, pots, wicker work, barrels etc with tips on preservation, colour enhancement etc.
Tips for looking after the containers and plants including problems of vine weevil, slugs, staking, supporting, drainage, watering, feeding etc and *also for winter care and winter indoor schemes.
INSPIRATIONAL
Designing with containers..deciding on style, mulches, colour of plants/pots, unusual containers and unusual plants.
Different recipes for different effects; short term, long term, minimum watering, architectural, scented, edible etc.
